Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the Honest Chat Exporter browser extension (“the Extension”) and any Premium license you purchase. By installing or using the Extension you agree to them.
1. What the Extension does
The Extension exports conversations you can already see in ChatGPT, Claude, and Google Gemini into Markdown, HTML, and PDF files saved to your own device. The core export features are free and have no usage limits.
2. Premium license
- Premium unlocks optional convenience features (e.g. batch export, local folder sync). The core features remain free.
- Premium is a one-time purchase granting a perpetual (“lifetime”) personal license, delivered as a license key. There is no subscription and no recurring charge.
- The license is for your personal use. Do not share, resell, publish, or distribute your license key.
- Payments are handled by Paddle, our Merchant of Record and reseller; Paddle’s buyer terms also apply to the transaction.
3. Third-party websites
The Extension reads the pages of third-party services (OpenAI ChatGPT, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini). We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by these companies. Those services can change their pages at any time, which may temporarily break export until we ship an update. We make reasonable efforts to keep the Extension working but cannot guarantee uninterrupted compatibility.
4. Acceptable use
Use the Extension only to export content you are authorized to access. You are responsible for complying with the terms of the underlying services and with applicable law.
5. No warranty
The Extension is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. You use it at your own risk.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from use of the Extension. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for Premium (if any).

8. Changes
We may update these terms; the effective date will change and the current version is posted at this URL. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Moldova, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
